City-State of Marinus Awards

E-mail Print PDF

The following is history extracted from the files of the Baronial Chronicler. The awards below were given out while Marinus was a City-State and had no representative holding court by fiat of the Crowns of Atlantia. As such these awards, in accordance with Corpora, are unofficial and carry no recognised precedence, but their recipients are well honored for the contributions they made to the City-State of Marinus. The awards are as follows:

Order of the Brass Trident

Given at the Governor's discretion for outstanding and consistent service to Marinus over the span of the past year. A maximum of three can be given in any year. This is our Baronial-level. (Shortly after becoming a Barony the award was registered with the Laurel Sovereign of Arms and the requirements changed and then ratified. The Baronial award may be found under Officers/Herald/Baronial Awards. In some cases, the award was given out again once baronial status was attained so the honors could be recoreded in the Order of Precedence.)

Order of the Sinking Ship

Given at the Governor's discretion upon recommendation of the Council for a single outstanding deed or action that bails the City-State out of deep troubles.

Order of the Oar

Given for service to Marinus that is steady and behind the scenes (or is that below decks?). Given out by recommendation of the Council.

Order of the Sail

Given for service to Marinus that is in the public eye, i.e... working at demos, public relations, etc...Given out by recommendation of the Council.

Marirrus Pat-on-the-Back

Given as acknowledgement of good deeds and general assistance to Marirrus. Given at the Governor's discretion upon recommendation of the Council. (This award was carried on in use by the founding baron and baroness, Donal and Catherine.)
